Rubber Coating
There are two methods of applying by rubber coating: By dipping or by using paint brush.
Rubber coating by dipping
- Step 1: Use a soft cloth or rag to wipe the surface, tool or object where you want to apply rubber coating so that there is no dirt on it. Keep your hands clean by wearing latex gloves.
- Step 2: To open the lid of the pre-mixed container of rubber coating, use a screwdriver and lay the lid to the side.
- Step 3:Now take the cleaned tool or object to be rubber coated and dip it inside the container , but quickly and evenly. But dip it only once. Do not go for multiple dipping as it will delay dry time. If you really want to go for a second dipping, then wait for the object or tool to be completely dried.
- Step 4: Take out the rubber coated tool or object from the container and let it dry. If it is tool, you can tighten it with a screw on a bench. The tool should be kept as per the recommended time on the coating's container. Always remember to keep the coated end upright while drying.
- Step 5:Once the rubber coating is dry, release the vise's grip and remove the tool or object . Check if the coating is done properly or not. If it is not as per your liking, then re-dip the object again for another round of coating.
- Step 3:Take out remixed rubber coating onto a paint tray. Take out as per your requirement.
- Step 4: Take a paint brush and dip it into the rubber coating tray. Apply the rubber coating to the surface evenly and quickly. Instead of brush, you can also use a paint roller.
- Step 5: Apply the coating to the entire surface by re-dipping the brush as needed, until the surface is completely covered.
- Step 6: Let the rubber coating dry. If the first coating is not upto your mark, re-coat it again, but only after your surface is completely dried.
Rubber Coating by Paint Brush
Even when you use paint brush, you should follow the step 1 and step 2 as mentioned above:
