a diverse industry as it includes different products that bear some form
of printing. These may be books, daily newspapers, periodicals,
packaging, cartons, carrier bags, drink containers, signs, forms,
brochures, advertisements, wallpaper, textiles, sheeting, metal foil,
and many more. The printing industry a growing industry. This industry
has witnessed tremendous changes since early 1990s wherein the industry

industry is divided into various types of printing techniques like

digital printing etc.
The printing industry has a substantial portion of total volume of
goods and services and at the same time largest accumulation of small
scale businesses in the manufacturing sector. This industry is rapidly
growing with almost every industry using printing techniques and
processes for efficient communication. After China, India is the fastest
growing print industry. The printing industry has been a significant
contributor to the GDP of India as well as other countries. The paper
industry is a very important industry for the growth and development of
any economy. The Indian paper industry is a growing industry. Several
fiscal incentives have been provided to this industry, especially to
those mills which are based on non-conventional raw material. The demand
for upstream market of paper products, for example, tissue paper, tea
bags, filter paper, light weight on line coated paper, medical grade
coated paper, etc. is rapidly growing giving a boost to the industry.
Demand for paper would go on increasing.
Rubber Products in the Printing & Paper Industry
Like all other industries, rubber products are also used widely in the
printing & paper industry. Rubber Rollers are the essential rubber
product used in this industry. Rubber covered rollers are made up of
three parts: a metal core, a rubber bonding adhesive which is applied to
the core, and also a rubber cover. The largest market for these rubber
rollers is the graphic arts and printing industry. This industry uses
rollers in printing presses to pass the ink onto the printing plate.
Other applications include paper-making, plastic film production,
printing, steel fabricating, manufacturing of textiles, metal coating,
leather processing and so on. In the paper industry, the rubber rollers
are used to squeeze water out of newly formed paper web, which
compresses to the desired thickness. The rubber printing block is used
for flexographic printing. The printing plates are coated with rubber
